Back from Zurich, pt 2!

I make a lot of lists. Places to visit, things to buy, experiences and trips to plan. Life goals. A list of people I like, inspirational sentences, small things noticed/appreciated. There are normal lists (packing lists!) and other lists (my favorite list is the random phrases written down in the morning or very late at night, which sometimes turns into a diary depending on how I feel). And for me, it's kind of a way to organise, organise life or whatever you call it. It's great that different people have different kinds of lists. And there are so many different kinds. Lists can sit there, collect items; help you remember, or focus, or become a basis for action. Lists become manifestos, proto-processes, logs, letters, books, and whatever else you call for. For me, lists un-complicate things, and transform the giant silky cloth of life, via a few points of support, into a tent. Or so I realised, on the way to lunch after arriving in St. Pancras Station this morning.

On the lists aspect, I want to make a few lists to rule them all to figure out how to spend time so that I can do what I want in the future. I have a bunch of tangential pieces - philosophies, songs, stories, advice from people who've done it before, etc - but I want to figure out how they all fit together, and how to use that to direct what I do, work-wise. What is the point of working, and doing stuff, for me?

I think the closest thing I have to an answer, is this approach of always doing things you don't know. It's kind of like (great quote from Luna): You are who you pretend to be. There are two parts to this - the "doing things" part, and the "not knowing" part, and both are important. Doing things - waking up early, adventures, etc etc, efforts and opportunities. Not knowing - growth, being brave, learning from experiments. Always a mixture of the new and the hard, for high growth. But that still leaves open the question of why you should do this in the first place, and I have no clue besides "i want this intermediate goal, and that's it" :')

aaaand I forgot what I was trying to say before I got sidetracked here.. :)
